Nicole Moore, M.Ed., LPC

Nicole is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in working with children and families, adolescents, and young adults. In addition to working in private practice, she has coached club and high school athletics, worked at behavioral treatment centers, in child and family mental health research programs, and in hospitals and clinics for children with developmental delays. She is passionate about improving child and family outcomes and working collaboratively with clients to assess and treat behavioral issues that may be interfering with home, work, school and social settings as well as emotional issues, such as depression, anxiety, and anger. Her overall goal is to empower individuals to live a full and happy life.

Nicole takes an integrative approach to counseling, meeting clients right where they are, and customizing treatment to their individual needs. She uses evidence-based practices combining methodologies of behavior therapy, play therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. Along with individual therapy, Nicole offers small group therapy, and has also received formal training and supervision to conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children with behavioral issues, developmental delays, and specific learning disabilities.

Nicole holds a Master of Education in Counseling degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies all from the University of Houston. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#71865) in the state of Texas and is currently receiving additional training to receive a degree as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
